I’ve been living at this new triplex for 2 months. Our neighbor has been using my fenced-in yard to take her dog out. This backyard is accessible through my back door or the shared garage man door that goes into my fenced yard.

The other two units on the property do NOT have a fenced-in yard and require them to use leashes to take out their dogs due to city ordinance. The neighbor has been using my yard to let their large pit bull mix. I haven’t had any issues with this until last Sunday.

I normally open my back door and call for any dogs before allowing mine out. After doing that, I let out my two small dogs, a Frenchie and a dachshund. Sunday morning, we must have both let the dogs out at the same time, and her dog attacked both my dogs.

My Frenchie took the brunt of it and had to be taken to the vet for his wounds. I notified my landlord immediately while my boyfriend took the dog to the vet. I had to leave my dog to get on a plane for a two-week work trip.
